ACTIVITIES OF THE NGO
The first work of the NGO was the affiliation between YPM Media Pvt. Ltd., both the NGO & the YPM Media Pvt. Ltd. Mutually worked on a project named ‘ROSHNI’ i.e. gift coupon in aid of social welfare, through which they want to help the under-privileged students. The NGO had worked there as the charity fund raiser collection.

The office of the NGO had been innagurated, on the very day and the innagurator was Mr. Birkhang Basumatary. He was the father of Mr. Sibisula kh. Basumatary, the seceratary of the DESC NGO. The programme had started at 10:00 am., by the presence of the other guardains and the membersof the NGO.

TRIP TO MAHAMUNI MANDIR MAZBAT

The members of the NGO believes that working without the grace of the almighty would not be possible for them to make the society developed so the members went to the “Mahamuni Mandir” to Mazbat of Udalguri district.

A programme was under-taken for the under-privileged students of a remote area’s school. The name of the school was UN Brahma LP School, Hokraduba of Udalguri district. The students were gifted with notebooks, pencils, erasers, table book, etc.; this was the first step towards the society of the NGO. The members were surprised to see that the students were very much talented but they did not get opportunities to excel their potentialities. This was the earnest attempt of the NGO to evaluate the potentialities of those students of that area. So it is a request to the citizen of this country that we must give them one chance to excel their potentialities so that they may bring fame to the area as well as to the country.

The NGO had organised a free medical camp at ' Rajiv Gandhi ME School, Sapangoan', for the poor people and the students of the respective school and the villages. Near about a five hundred (500) benefeturies were present on the camp, the NRHM of Udalguri district had helped us to make the programme a success. The chief guest at the programme was Dr. Hazarika, the Joint Director of Health Services, Udalguri.
About 500 (five hundreds) of total beneficiaries were been served
by the NGO, the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) had helped the NGO to make
the program a grand success, the camp was basically organized in that area
because there is a vast prevail of the Malaria, Typhoid & Skin diseases,
which the NGO had found after a long survey there, also the school authority
had helped us a lot, the local people, the students and many more well wisher
had helped the NGO to make the camp a grand success.
The report of the medical camp was,
We found 20 them were serious who were given injection,
19 of them were found malaria, and the rest were only sick,
some of them had skin problem.
The respective Joint Director of NRHM, Udalguri, Dr. Hazarika and his mistress had visited the camp and made the NGO feel proud.
Project Report of Felicitation Programme for the Students who secured 1st

The team DESC (NGO) have reached the Bishnu
Rabha Kristee Sangha premise at 07:30 am on the very day. The programme was
basically held for the motivation towards impartment of the education. Before
the programme had started the invited guests arrived at the location.
The programme started from 10:00 am. Jitu Nath was appointed as the Chairperson and
presided over the meeting. Then he put forth the programme as the listed
agenda.
Mr. Sibisula Khungur Basumatary delivered the purpose of the meeting and
also said that the upcoming might get motivated by seeing them honoured to
them.
The Chief Guest of the programme was Lt. Dinesh Kumar, 315 Fd. Regiment
(Kargil). He delivered some guideline to the students for their future career.
The honourable guests were Mr. Lucas Daimari, subject teacher of Udalguri
Higher Secondary School, Mr. Praffula Kr. Basumatary, Principal of Udalguri
College, Mr. Anil Bayan, Principal of Asboford Academy, Mr. Ganesh Muchahary,
Principal of Kajiamati High School and Principal Secretary of Udalguri Academic
Curriculum. They too delivered some valuable tips for their further studies.
After the speeches of the guests had finished the felicitation of the
merit certificates and medals to the 1st Division holders of HSLC
and HS final exam was followed. There were 125 students who received the merit
certificates.
Followed by Vote of thanks which was delivered by Mr. Mijingsha Daimari.
At last the conclusion speech of the programme by our Chairperson Mr.
Jitu Nath and concluded the programme.
Project Report of Two Days Training on Development & Grooming, Bangaligaon:

On 29th March, 2012 the
team DESC (NGO) have reached the school premise at 12:30 pm on the very day.
The programme started from 01:00 pm.
In this programme the Resources Persons were Jitu Nath & Sibisula Kh.
Basumatary. At the beginning of the programme the members of the Flash Club had
organised an open session where they had heartily welcomed the RP to their
programme and were happy to be a part of that event.
Mr. Jitu Nath, in the first day of
the Training Session of Personality Development & Grooming, he discussed
about the greeting and about the personality of a person. He explained it with
demonstration of each topics. Also he discussed about the grooming where he
talked about the dress code and gestures of a person.
Mr. Sibisula Kh. Basumatary, in his
first discussion of the training took the best part of the life, which is Goal
Setting, and have elaborately explained about the effect of a good goal of a
life, with best examples. He has also explained about how to set a goal.
Again on 30th March, 2012
the team DESC (NGO) have reached the school premise at 12:30 pm on the very
day.
Mr. Jitu Nath, in the second day of
the Training Session had discussed the factors of the Attitudes and how to
acquire a positive attitude, and elaborately discussed about the effects of the
positive attitude with best examples.
Mr. Sibisula Kh. Basumatary, in his
second day of discussion of the training took the best topic of the life, which
is What is Holding Us Back, and have elaborately explained about the successful
personals. He contrasts the successful and retained back person’s life even if
knowing how to get success still lacks behinds. He has shown ten important
points which we must not imitate because it may leads to lack behind.
Before winding up the day’s programme
the President of Flash Club Bandana Mahatu had delivered a valuable speech
where he have addressed the NGO and on behalf of the Flash Club he was thankful
to the team NGO. It was followed by the Vote of Thanks which was delivered by
Gwmsar Boro an Executive Member of the Club.
By the time 5:00 pm we all came back
from the area.
Project Report of Free Medical & Awareness Camp, Bangaligaon:

The team DESC (NGO) have reached the
school premise at 09:30 am on the very day along with the NRHM team of
Udalguri. The medical camp was basically for malaria disease. Before the
medical check up started the team of the NRHM had conducted awareness to the
people and the students of the area. In this Free Medical Camp there were 387
beneficiaries.
The programme started from 10:00 am.
In this programme the chief visitor was Captain Arun Kumar, 159 Field Regiment,
Udalguri Golondi Army Camp. The Doctors were Dr. Tapendra Ch. Deka, Dr. Jyoti
Prasad Bharali and Rph Shatabdi Das and other medical units such as (Radiographer)
Padma Gogoi BHW, Jyoti Prasad Sarma (Lab Tech.), MMU, Malaria department had taken
active part in the programme.
Dr. Tapendra Ch. Deka, in the
awareness delivered that how malaria affects in the human. Malaria caused by
the bites of female anopheles mosquito. If weakness, cold, fevers, shivering,
sudden sweat occurred it might be the symptoms of malaria, and then one should
consult to the doctor immediately. He said that malaria could be prevented in
many ways such as by using mosquito net, by keeping clean the surroundings of
the household.
Among the 387 beneficiaries, as
laboratory technician reported 51 persons had been examined blood test and 11
persons result were positive, where 08 were P.V. and 3 were P.F.
The volunteers of the school students
helped the team through all aspects, such as during prescribing the
prescription of the beneficiaries and many more. Also the people as well as the
teachers of the school helped the team NGO and NRHM. The medicine, injection
and saline were provided free to those beneficiaries of the area. Blood test
was also done to those beneficiaries who were prescribed by the doctors on the
very day the report of the blood test was also given to those by the end of the
day.
In the middle of the check-up of the
day a half hour break was given to the team and the doctors, were the resident
of the area had prepared a meal for those.
Before winding up the day’s programme
the Gaonburah Bola Sarmah of the area came and gratitude the team NGO as well
as the NRHM team with loves and care.
By the time 5:00 pm we all came back
from the area.
Project Report of Three Days Eye-checkup Medical Camp

Mandap Field, Udalguri.

The team DESC (NGO) have reached the Durga
Mandap field at sharply 06:30 am on the 11th of September, 2014.
Before the check-up the team along with the Doctors from Drishti Eye Hospital
Birtamode-09, Sainikmode, Jhapa, Nepal, kept an awareness programme.
On the first day the check-up
programme started at 09:00 am. Doctors started check-up one by one. Dr. Ajit
Kr. Thakur, Dr. Kisor Rejal, Dr. Basant Poudel along with the technician of the
respective hospital. First day the total beneficiaries were 191 from where
around 45 were found to be major problem of their eyes who were announced as
the surgery case patients. The camp was winded at 5:30 pm.
The next day the camp started from 7:30 am and
the respective doctors have rendered their services to the patients, and the
patients were 313, where around 75 were found to be major problem of their eyes
who were announced as the surgery case patients. The camp was winded at 5:30
pm.
On the last day, the camp started
from 7:30 am and the respective doctors have rendered their services to the
patients, and the patients were 256, where around 50 were found to be major
problem of their eyes who were announced as the surgery case patients. The camp
was winded at 5:30 pm.
The doctors said that the major
problem found regarding the eyes of the Udalgurians were Pterygium, Catract,
DCR, DCT, Squint, etc. Total beneficiaries were around 760 in all the three
days and 170 were the eye surgery case patients.
Project Report of Udalguri District Art Compitition

The team DESC (NGO) have reached at
the respective three zones of the Udalguri district (viz. Tangla Kendria Jataya
Vidyalaya, Mazbat Jataia Vidyalaya & Udalguri Bishnu Rabha Kristee Sanga)
respectively at 6:00 am.
The participants of the respective
competition were arrived at the commencement time, the art paper were provided
by the NGO, before starting the competition in each zone the invited guests had
delivered their valuable speech on the
Children Day occasion. The competition was held
for about an hour and the theme of the competition was “Natural Beauty”.
The compititors have painted their thoughts and creavity on the art paper and
was submitted on time. The respective Judges of the three zones respectively
Mr. Dulal Boro, Mr. Bijoy Basumatary and Mr. Rabiram Brahma had selected the
best of the 9 (nine) participate as First, Second & Third of each zone.

Tridip Saraniya, Class VII, Dakua High School, Tangla.
The Third from Tangla zone was Miss
Barnali Rabha, Class VIII, Sankardev Sisu Niketen, Tangla.
The First form Udalguri zone was Mr.
Dharmajit Baro, Class VIII, J.N.V, Udalguri.
The Second from Udalguri zone was Mr.
Laba Kr. Hazarika, Class VIII, J.N.V., Udalguri.
The Third from Udalguri zone was Mr.
Dwithun Boro, Class VIII, J.N.V., Udalguri.

awarded by Rs. 5000.00 and a certificate in cheque for each zone.

Project Report of One Day Awareness camp on “Rehabilitation for the Immanent of Udalguri District
Jail”:

On 30th April, 2017 the
team DESC (NGO) have reached the Udalguri District Jail premise at 10:30 am on
the very day.
The programme started from 11:30 am
by the Chairmanship of Mr. M. K. Dawka, the Superintendent of Udalguri District
Jail, Udalguri. In this programme the Respected Guests were
Mr. Bhabesh Dutta, the famous poet of Udalguri
Mr. Madhu Patowari, the famous
writer and singer of Udalguri
Mr. Prabin Sarmah, the Retired
Teacher under Govt. Of Assam
Mr. Atul Ch. Deka, the Retired Teacher under Govt. Of Assam
Mr. Kumud Gayan, the Instructor
and Facilitator of Udalguri Bihu Party.
The Chief
Guest cum the Spoke preson of the very Awareness camp on Rehabilitation for the
immanent of the Udalguri District Jail was Mr. Sammy Kashyap, he was the
invited guest from Tezpur. By profession he was a Motivational speaker of the
Assam. At the beginning of the programme, under the supervision of the
Superintend of Udalguri District Jail, some of the immanent honoured and warmly
welcomed to the Jail premises by Hindu rituals of Pusspanjali, Naam, Kritan and
Prayer. After the prayer and Puspanjali,
the purpose of the meeting was delivered by the President of the DESC NGO, Mr.
Jitu Nath. Mr. Nath has concluded his speech with the intent of the topic
“Rehabilitation”. After the delivery of the Purpose of the meeting,
Introduction of the Guests and felicitation of the invited guests were covered
up by Mr. Hem Ch. Deka, one of the Member of DESC NGO.
`Then after, Mr. Madhu Patowari, gave
a speech on a motivational singer of our Nation and also he tried to
differentiate the life between the Jail premises and outside the Jail. He said
that the respective NGO is there in Udalguri to serve those people who ever
wants the help to start a new living after the experiences of the Jail. The
immanent may have the opportunities to be a part of the developing society by
the upcoming project of the NGO which is Rehabilitation. After his valuable
speech Mr. Bhabesh Dutta have delivered a short speech where he have recited a
poem of his own, where he tried to reciprocate the mind of the immanent with
good and creative thoughts. He was followed by the motivational speech of Mr.
Atul Ch. Deka, the retired teacher.
The program was followed by the
active participation of the immanent of the Udalguri District Jail. They have
demonstrated many activities of good and habit where the sung a song which was
composed by them. Also a part was kept where they could share their opinion
with us. The maximum of the immanent had shared their views and thoughts of the
Jail.
After that our Chief Guest, Mr. Sammy
Kasyap had delivered the heart-touches speech on the presents days at Jail and
future days after Jail. He gave a good example of German Soldiers regarding his
presentation. At his short speech he tried to involve the immanent with active
participation and co-operation. He made every possibility to make them positive
and think positive of their lives.
In between all the immanent along
with the NGO’s Guests and members were all served tea break. Then after, the
president of DESC NGO Mr. Jitu Nath had delivered a motivational speech where
he tried to evaluate the good days of our lives and bad days of our lives. He
convey this message of doing things good through the immanent because he said
that humans makes mistakes, but it is we who should minimized the percentage of
doing mistakes by thinking positives.
One of the immanent, Mr. Charan
Basumatary had shared his view points over the two years of his experiences and
thanked to the NGO for their initiative of the project of Rehabilitation.
Mr. Arpon Daimari delivered the vote
of thanks from the NGO.
Mr. M. K. Dawka delivered his
conclusion speech as Chairman where he thanked all the members as well as the
guests of the very program and declared the open session was wind up.
After the open session the Udalguri
Bihu Group had performed the Bihu dance inside the Jail premises and made the
environment a happy and joy full environment where every immanent were chilled
with joy and happiness.
After the Bihu dance performances the
team NGO with the Guests and the Bihu Party were treated with a delicious party
under the supervision of the Jailor Mr. Biswas of the Udalguri district Jail.
By 6:30 pm the team NGO with those
invited guests had marched out from the Udalguri District Jail.
